A few weekends ago our ward had father's and sons. I know that a mom of all boys came up with that ward activity. While James and I were out to eat with a few kidless friends, Mike was three hours away with Jace and Parker.
The best thing about Mike though is that he absolutely loved it. While many dads look for excuses to not take young kids camping, Mike couldn't wait and happlily loaded Jace, Parker, and another family of boys plus all the gear into the van and drove past Payson where they actually have pine trees and the nights get cold enough to build a fire.
Aside from Parker throwing up on the way there (that outifit is long gone), freezing cold temperatures, and high wind advisories, everyone had a great time. They even slept well, though Mike did not. My boys couldn't stop talking about camping with their dad.
