Easter snuck up on us this year. I'm going to sound old...but life goes so fast! Mike and I decided that we wanted the focus of Easter this year to be on the resurrection of our Savoir, so we did the worldly, fun, holiday celebration things on Saturday.
Our neighborhood had an egg hunt. Jace was off to the races, gathering as many as possible. Parker had a different strategy. He opened each egg as he picked it up and ate the candy right away. His strategy was probably better since I usually put candy high up in the pantry--not usually to be found till the next holiday.
While the boys were out playing, the Easter bunny visited our house and put the baskets, with no candy (the Easter bunny must know how much mom hates kids asking for treats all day) in the bathtub. We played the hot and cold game to find the baskets and the boys were so happy to have a new airplane and CD and a few other small toys. Luckily, Grandma Kimmi made up the candy difference by sending us a nice big Easter package. Thanks Gram!
