Having children makes you take each holiday more seriously. How do you convey to a 4 year old and a 2 year old the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ? We did our best with stories throughout the day and you could tell Jace felt more at ease knowing that death was not the end of those we love. It feels so good to have that knowlege--how empty life would be if there was nothing after death. I am so grateful to my Savoir for making that possible.
Our church starts at 8 am; which isn't usually a problem because our kids are all awake by 6:15, but for some reason on Easter Sunday, no one got moving till 7:15--needless to say, we didn't get Easter pictures before church, so we'll have to settle with everyone a little more dishevled than they were at 8, and a sleeping baby. We all know, you never wake a sleeping baby.
James spent a good portion of the afternoon in his exersaucer, which he loves, as you can tell by the expression on his face.
