We love Thanksgiving in St. George! This year the weather forecast looked really cold and rainy...for the first time since we started going there, so with swimming and sunning out of the equation, we weren't sure what it was going to be like...turns out that Thanksgiving in St. George is great anyway!
Started things off with a little basketball...
Mike rented a Razor and took everyone out for a little 4 wheeling action. Some loved it more than others, but for most of the boys it was a big hit!
Chilly rides on the scooter were also a highlight, especially for Jace who was able to drive it with Mike. He found a new love!
Warm cousin tubby time!
To make sure we had enough to keep us all busy, my dad came up with all kinds of games and competitions for the kids and adults to take place in. He bought some seriously enviable prizes that kept everyone motivated all weekend :).
When the sun came out, everyone beelined for the hot tub. We all decided that no matter how chilly it was, the pool is always wanted!
We had Thanksgiving a day late so we could catch Beau and his family. It is the one time we all look nice over the weekend, so we like to document it. It is also a great way to reflect on what I am very most grateful for.
We spent our Thanksgiving night putting together little bags for the homeless shelter. Each year they do a 12 days of Christmas for their residents, so we assembled 3 days for Christmas for them! We love doing a little something to give back after being so blessed.
Another game...staring contest!
Love the new tradition of Thanksgiving jammies instead of Christmas jammies. These kids are so cute!
Family race! Parker was bummed because we wouldn't let him run this year because he was was playing in a soccer tournament so he needed to save his legs!
My mom got the 25 Days of Christmas ornaments for each family this year and we spent the sunny afternoon painting and assembling them!
These boys played their hearts out and ended up winning the Mesquite tournament in the top division. Such a fun surprise for us all. Such a great team!
Loved our nightly devotionals.
New family theme...BE GRATEFUL!
One of the best ways to get into the Christmas spirit is the live nativity at Tuachan. Such a beautiful story in a gorgeous setting.
The one downside of the weekend was definitely the drive home. With multiple accidents and a snowstorm, it is a good thing we left early and didn't have anywhere to be. One of our favorite weekends of the year!
