Family life is bustling and busy, just the way we like it. All 4 boys are involved in great, extracurricular activities that enrich their lives and develop their talents. We are so grateful to be able to provide our boys with these opportunities!
Over the summer, all three boys worked hard on reflections. They had great success at every level...both Parker, James and Jace all won on a school level with all of their entries (Parker: Art, Music, Photography, Literature) (James: Art, Music, Photography, Literature) (Jace: Photography, Art). Parker won on the council level in art, photography and literature and James won on the council level with Photography and Literature. James ended up with an Honorable mention for his photography at the regional level too! Such an exciting year for all of them...it is so much fun to watch them learn and grow!

For Christmas, last year, one of the gifts from my mom was a girl's weekend in St. George to attend Time Out for Women. It was a wonderful, uplifting event, and it was such a blast to be kid free with these ladies that I love so much!
One addition and surprise to the weekend was the David Archuletta concert. He is an amazing singer and not so great of a talker, but it was wonderful. What a great weekend!!!
We started Grateful Pig early this year and LOVED it. One of my favorite traditions.
The world was rocked with the terrorist attacks in Paris. One more reminder of how wonderful it is to live in a country where we feel safe, secure, and free.
In November the boys played in the semi-annual piano recital. Though practicing is a battle and sometimes the progress is slow, there is progress, so I am happy about that...especially since neither Mike or I have any piano ability. How I wish that Marci or Grandma Brett lived close so they could help the boys!
We were again grateful that Mimi and Grandma came to show their support! It makes such a difference!
Dinner out before Jace's big stage debut! So great to have so much love and support. He did an awesome job on his solo and was a natural up on stage. He loved every single second of it all!
Another thing that took up a good deal of time was the KJH bowl-a-thon. It was a success!
Since James was the November grandchild of the month, he chose to go golfing for his special day. Like always his sweet personality allowed those of us left at home (Mike and Jace were at a BYU football game), to tag along and experience his special day with him. It was chilly but beautiful and we had an awesome day out on the course.
New books at our house mean sometimes you can't even make it up the stairs.
