Along came a spider...

And wouldn't sit next to his two Spiderman brothers, so oh well, no pictures of all three together! This year was a big year for us, all three of my kids wore real Halloween coustumes and actually thought it was pretty fun. That has never happened before. Everynight my children are usually crying about the costume they don't want to wear and end up going out in a BYU football jersey. Lame!!
So, this year, everyone happily put on superhero costumes and we had a fun day, but I am still a Halloween scrooge! I hate it when my kids have candy, and a whole day full of sugar is not my idea of a celebration, but I let it go and we even enjoyed the night. We had Jace's preschool party in the morning, trunk-or-treat at 5, trick or treating at 6:30, candy separation at 7:15, a quick throw up at 7:30 and bed at 8. Not a bad night. And, look at my little spider....is he the cutest?
On another note, last Halloween, I remember eating literally 25 fun size candy bars on Halloween night (I hid the wrappers at the bottom of our garbage I was so embarassed), then going into labor the next day. I tried to be a little better this year as I was handing out candy and saved some for the trick or treaters.

I love when you update, even though I was there for half of the pictures and talk to you at least 5 times a day. I still love to read your blog!!!

What a cute idea to have them all as something to do with spiders. You look beautiful as usual.

I had to comment on the candy too, I always buy a ton of candy that I love knowing that we are always with cousins on Halloween night, but I have not thought to hide the wrappers.

I seriously just chuckled to myself when you mentioned hiding the candy bar wrappers! Can pregnancy be my excuse too? And, you are a GREAT halloween mom! Do you realize how adorable and happy all your boys look? I am loving the spider theme here!

SOO CUTE! they are so darling! I love the costumes! and love the breakdown of times, and you just put in throw up as it was just something else they did! LOVE IT! haha..

anyways, yes the spider is PRECIOUS!

Lucky for me, this pregnancy, even though i have been gaining, i haven't liked ANY sugar things. WEIRD WEIRD... SO, that is LUCKY for me, but past pregnancies i totally hear you about that! OH MY!

YOU DID NOT EAT THAT MANY FUN SIZE CANDY BARS!! Oh, I cannot tell you how much better that makes me feel, because you and your skinny self always seem so in control of that eating thing.

Oh yeah, your kids were also very cute in their costumes, too.

That is hilarious about hiding the candy wrappers! Some friends and I were talking recently about doing the same thing when you'd babysit for people, even though they had said "help yourself to whatever you want!"

Your boys look so darling! I love Halloween and all the costumes we torture our kids with! My daughter didn't initially like her costume, so every night for about 3 weeks prior to Halloween I would pull it out of her closet and show it to her, oohing, and ahhing in hopes to convince her it was cool. I'm happy to say it eventually worked!

I love all your little spider men! Especially that little one-I want to squeeze him! Glad they had fun dressing up this year- I thought about you guys and wondered if you had a couple of BYU football players for Halloween this year! And speaking of Halloween candy and pregnancy...well we'll just leave it at that!

Did you really hide the wrappers? From who! From yourself? I hide things in the trash can too but it's not candy wrappers, it's Max's artwork! I can't keep it all. I am so impressed that you had a theme for the kids costumes. Maybe it's because of the BYU jerseys you always resorted to, but I didn't know you had it in you!

Your boys are so cute! Finally, a successful halloween (meaning you were able to get them all into their costumes). Wish we could have been there, it looked like you had a blast. Ezra was dying to see your spiderman costume, maybe next year!
