After the baptism, my mom stuck around for a few more days. It was heaven. I was wiped out from all the excitment, so I sat on the couch and watched her do ALL our laundry, get the boys off to school, make or buy every meal, play millions of games with the boys, babysit, run errands, iron, and feel bad for me as I got sick time and time again. It just feels better being sick when your mom is around, you know?
I wish I could have been more fun, but I took advantage of every second of her willingness to help me out and loved it. She has an amazing amount of energy and so many talents. My whole life, I've wondered, "How does she do it?" I hope to grow up and be just like her!
We did do a few things, like visit the Children's Museum (we really love it)...
Went to grab dinner...
And just had a great, low-key time together. The boys were so sad to see her go. They were left with just a mom, who doesn't even come close to a grandma! We love you!

Grandma's just make everything better. My daughter just spent the weekend with my mom and dad and she came home on cloud 9!
Ok, this post made a lot more sense after reading your last post. Congratulations!!!!! I will never forget driving with you to the spring training game when you told me you were pregnant with James. We are SO happy for you guys. Really wish we lived closer together still so I could help you out during these first few months. And even though I know you know this, since I just finally got through it, I have to remind you that the weight WILL come off eventually. I hate the weight-gain aspect of my pregnancies and really struggled to get the weight off after Shelby was born. She may be 13 months now, but I am finally back to pre-preg. Anyways, not to get on a soapbox, but I swear I am going to vinyl this on my bathroom wall during my next pregnancy. You are the most darling pregnant lady on the planet, and congrats again!!!!!
So glad she was there to help so much! There is nothing more appreciated than a mom when the mom of the house is sick. So glad you took it easy and let her do so much for you. That is the best thing you could do for yourself and kids and I'm sure she loved doing it all for your! Sorry I'm such a slacker lately. Everyday I keep meaning to call you. Afraid to call when your sick. Here's to you feeling better so we can talk more!
Aren't moms the best thing ever! Glad she got to stick around for a while!
Isn't that the best? I'm so glad she got to stay for some extra time! And I'm sorry you're still getting sick. :( No fun - I hope that ends soon.
You are so right....your mom is wonderful! I just got on blogger after being blocked for two weeks, and apparently the next blog I am about to read is absolutely fabulous news???? Congrats!!!
Its so great to have moms around!!
I just sent out the email for our pizza party at the park on Saturday. I wanted to make sure you knew you were invited :) Miss you lots!
Soo much to congratulate u on. Congrats to jace. What a stud!! And oh so many congrats to you on the new baby. If you ever want to call and complain- just call. I'm so there with you. Every second of my preg I had to remind myself this (hopefully) is our last. 9 months isn't so long in the scheme of life even though every second of it felt like an eternity! And now that she is here I am trying to enjoy every second of her littleness. She is so special in our family- but it is hard to go back to baby. You will find it is easier b/ c the other boys are older. They can get their own snack. But my kids do tell me that I was more fun before I got pregnant. Things aren't as easy or fun with a baby. But they still love her to bits. It's hard living far away from family, having Troy work like crazy, and be gone at least three days for bishopric. But it all work. Heavenly father carries us- and I know he loves your family like crazy. Can't wait to hear how you are doing!! Love love love you guys. Congrats on everything
Yay for Grandma! Your mom is so great!
