I am not sure I am ready for this. I can't believe my little baby is 5. He is such a fun and imaginative kid. I've posted lots of great things about him, but here are a few of my recent favorites:
1. During every food prayer he says, "Please bless Parker to stop eating during the prayer and close his eyes and fold his arms." He's learning early that prayers aren't always answered.
2. In his prayer the other night he said, "We're grateful Jesus could die for us so we could get a body, and we're grateful President Hinckley could die so he could see his wife in heaven."
3. The other day we went to a baseball game and there was a cemetary across the street. He thought it was where President Hinckley was buried. When I said it wasn't, he said, "Mom, can't we just go over and dig up the bones and see if it's him?"
4. I was getting ready the other day and he came in to ask, "What does charmed mean?"
5. The other day we were late to his soccer game, so he only got to play one quarter. Their team was down by one goal and Jace turns to me and says, "Mom, coach has gotta put me in; I'm our best player!"
6. A few weeks ago, I was trying to explain the difference between lying and teasing. I used the word facetious, and now I have a 5 year old who says, "I wasn't lying mom. I was just being facetious."
He is just so cute and inquisitive. He loves to add numbers and tell me how many degrees it is. He is a great reader and has graduated into 15 page books. He loves to play all day long and NEVER gets tired. His life revolves around which friend he gets to hang out with that day. He's also a great big brother and teaches Parker so many things. For his birthday he got an early breakfast with dad, cupcakes at school, and the best part of the day, was when Grandma picked him up and he was so surprised. It was the greatest present ever--especially since she brought along lots of good presents. We went to soccer practice and then to pizza and Gelato, of course.
My dad came in on Friday night and I'll say it again, I have the greatest parents. My kids adore having them here. The weather was impeccable 70 and sunny all weekend. We went to Jace's soccer game on Sat, then had his party that night. We were at Freestone Park with 20 kids. It was crazy but soooo much fun. I'm so lucky to have him in my life and I'm so grateful for all those that love him so much.

I should have known that your five year old would know the meaning of facetious (only in the Olsen family). He is so cute and please tell me that Bentley will not grow as fast as Jace has. I can't believe it! I remember when Beau was that age.
Brooke - I love checking out your blog and your awesome troop of boys. Tell Jace happy b-day. I know, it goes way to fast. I had to do a bag tag...and since you are supermom...I thought of you as someone to tag next. I'm sure you've seen it before, but you can go to my blog at dicksoncrew.blogspot.com and check mine out - then it's your turn. We think of you guys and hope you're doing well.
