Cassy and the kids came to visit us last week and I was so excited to have them here. It didn't turn out quite as planned since all three of my kids had ear infections and green stuff dripping out their noses and acted like you would imagine children would act if they had dried snot all over their face, but we still had a great time.
Jace and Chaz, of course loved eachother, and Parker said Shaina was, "my girl." James loved Shaina too and started saying her name. We had more park time than you could imagine and Cassy was a bit shocked at the Stepford-ish appeal of my neighborhood (a million moms and kids out in blue sky and sunshine all day long, living in houses that look similar but are a different color...you get it right?)
I loved having Cassy here. She is good at everything I am bad at, and about 3 years ago showed me I could be a mom and not just wear t-shirts and capri's (thank you!!!). I think she is gorgeous, kind, talented, fun, smart, and I am so lucky to have such a great sister-in-law. She even understood when I totally lost it at the end of the second night and told my kids, "Honestly, don't ask me for anything else for the whole rest of the day or I might cry." Now that's family; come stay anytime.

Haha... I guess I better go change my clothes... it was a t-shirt and capri day for me! =) And I love the stepford comment... so true.
Her hair and her children's hair is GORGEOUS! I don't think there's a more perfect red out there. And maybe you can share her lessons of how to escape t-shirts and capris because, tragically, that's about where I live! (Except, of course in New England, it's long pants most of the year).
what's wrong with t-shirts and capris??? so does that mean that velour sweatsuits are out too? :)
I hate how your kids stop being their cute selves when family is visiting because they're tired, eating poorly, over-stimulated, and (in your case) sick... I'm glad Cassie made things nice instead of harder!
Brooke- so cute! Is Cassy Mike's sister? I love their red hair. And... how jealous am I about your girls trip? Seriously, I need one of those right about now.
Glad you had fun!

it's always so fun to have visitors! sounds like an amazing friend...
Wow, thanks for that! You really know how to make me sound better than I really am. I love you and wish I could be as great as you are someday. As for now I will just be a wana-be, Brooke.
PS I think that is one of my worst pictures ever!
