Oh, Oh, Mexico!

I have not been a very good blogger lately because I've been waiting for our pics from Rocky Point, Mexico. We had the greatest weekend ever with 4 other amazing families in a huge Hacienda house where everyone had their own room right on the beach. The kids never stopped playing (I honestly don't think I saw Jace the whole time), the water was almost 80 degrees, the waves were fast and fun, and the beach secluded and beautiful with tons of tide pools and gorgeous shells. It was a perfect weekend, except that I forgot the port-a-crib for James, so sleeping was a little tough (thanks to the Nielsons we figured out a way!!) These were the things I learned:
1. I am so happy I live in Arizona, not Mexico--though the tortillas might we worth it.
2. Cooking with friends is the best. We ate like kings and I realized how much I enjoy biscuits and gravy and how I like to cook for a crowd.
3. Jace's favorite thing about the trip, according to him was, "Playing with Noelle (she's 7)."
4. I never want to live on the beach. We swept sand out of the house a million times a day!
5. 5 men together are so fun to watch.
6. I wish I went to high school with Kirk Nielsen, just to watch him on the football field.
7. We are not too old to play crazy card games late into the night listening to music from the 90s and telling most embarassing moments.
8. I am happy I married my husband.
9. Kyle Rogers and Sheri Huber are great party planners.
10. My husband does not like to follow, but he is the best in every other way.
11. A gigantic hacienda house with beautiful balconies and plenty of room is the only way to do Mexico.
12. The four other girls I went with were fabulous moms and friends. They all make me want to be a better person, and I'm so grateful for their friendship--I say this often, but I can't believe all the amazing people I have in my life.

Wow Brooke! Looks like such a great trip! I always wanted to go out to Rocky Pointe while we were in AZ, but never did. Such a fun idea... and beautiful pictures of everyone.

Let me just first say that I know he's not yours, but the kid in the Batman pajamas is priceless!

That looks like the most amazing trip! I adore the beach and am so happy that we finally live within an hour's drive of one, even if it is still way north and only usable 3 months out of the year. How fun to do a trip like that with friends, too! Love it, love it, love it.

Oh, how fun! Is Rocky Point close enough to Arizona that you can just drive there? What fun friends you have to plan a big trip like that. Jealous!

I know I should be saying, "I'm glad you guys had such a great trip", but what I really want to say from deep within in my heart is, "I wish you're trip would have sucked and that you would have been moping around because the Paynes couldn't come"!
