End of the School Year Craziness

The end of April/May feels like a sprint marathon. So many amazing things going on with all my boys at the end of the year. So grateful for all of their opportunities to develop their talents and learn new things!

Parker had a great time in choir this year, and we loved hearing his Mary Poppins solo in his English accent. He loves to sing!

In the middle of it all, I was asked to speak to two different Relief Societies and feel so blessed to have those opportunities. Lots of work and time, but such amazing opportunities for spiritual growth and the chance to help others. After an intense week with lots of work deadlines on top of speaking engagements, I was so happy to put my feet up.

Parker made it to the district Constitution Bowl. He studied so hard and knew all his facts. Their team didn't end up winning, but they were still awesome.

Mike bought us tickets to Ellie Goulding for Christmas. We have the best time together and loved feeling young!

Jace was able to get certified to ref this year and this was him at his very first game. He is a natural and it is an awesome way for him to make money!

This little boy has been obsessed with playing baseball with James lately. He LOVES everything sports and everything brothers. He is a little rock star with all the boys' friends...everyone is crazy about him.

Pierce was a crazy soccer star again this season. Watching and playing with his 3 brothers has definitely given him a competitive edge. He is obsessed with the score, and even though he loves to win, he is so kind and cheers his other friends on. My favorite thing was listening to the people on the sidelines when he would play..."Who is that kid?" "Keep it away from number 10!" "Can someone check his birth certificate?" Pretty cute. Mike was an awesome coach!

The boys have continued to work hard at their piano and I think this one was their best recital. They are learning and growing so much and it is just so exciting!

Parker and Mike ran a 5K at the Jr. High...Parker came in 4th for his age group. Pretty cool!

I was on a local news show, Fox 13 The Place taking about a recent article that I wrote about how to keep your kids safe on Instagram. It is always fun to be able to share my message!

It was fun working with the Jr. High kiddos this year on the PTSA...this was our last party with these crazy kids.

I LOVE Mother's Day. My family spoils me and makes me feel so loved. This morning they woke me up with the ugliest shirt ;) and made me think they were serious. I loved it. They all got me the sweetest and most sincere cards and gifts. It was such a wonderful day.

A more composed picture with the boys I love!!

I was lucky enough to accompany these boys to their field trip to the Bees' Game. Best field trip of the year, especially with perfect weather. So grateful for these awesome boys that Parker calls friends.

This boys is the strangest, but we love him. A lot.

Pajama Day at preschool! Pierce had the greatest year with awesome buddies!

Sometimes it is hard raising a teenager...then you get a text like this in the middle of the day:

James has had such an incredible year with a really cool Art theme in his program. At the end of the year, they put on an Art Gala. His art was so awesome and it was an amazing night celebrating all they had learned.

James' class learned to play the ukuleles and they were awesome!!

Another cool thing James got to do was participate in the spectrum Olympics...just the coolest day full of games, competitions, and team events. He is one lucky boy.

Our elementary school carnival is always a hit...even in the rain.

Mike coached James' soccer team this year and he did amazing things with these boys. He was so good at expecting just enough to keep them motivated and learning all the time. James loved playing soccer this year!

Jace was lucky enough to be on a really great soccer team this year with awesome boys and amazing coaches. So grateful he was able to have this experience and so sad it had to come to an end because of the age change. Love people who give their time to my kids!!

The fifth grade America program at Columbia is my very favorite!!! Parker was a cute little dancer and the songs and thoughts were just the greatest.

Pierce finished his last day of preschool with the world's greatest preschool program. Honestly, it was the cutest in every way and Pierce sang every single song and smiled through the whole thing. He had the most wonderful teacher and the sweetest friends in his class. What a wonderful year!

Max and Alex, his best buddies!

When Miss Laura, the sweetest teacher ever, gave Pierce his last hug, she said, "Oh, I can't hug him without starting to cry. Then she whispered in his ear how great he was and how thankful she was that he was always so nice to McKay." Hooray for great teachers!!

Yay that grandma made it! She loved it as much as we did!

Parker once again qualified for the decathalon. He is amazing and so driven. They didn't win, but performed well!

Pierce's last soccer game with Coach Mike. What a great season for these undefeated Red Fireball Dragons!

Snapped this picture of these two cuties. Arranged marriage for sure.

James did a super cute jungle program this year and he was a monkey! He doesn't love to perform but he is getting more and more comfortable with it!

Our good-bye soccer party. Coach Tadd was amazing!

Parker had such a "golden soccer year." Perfect coach, perfect team and intense growth with lots of highs and only a few lows. They came together so well and had so great wins. With the age change, we were devastated to have to separate at the end of the year, but grateful for time we were able to play together. They didn't win their last tournament, but took second and had a blast at our final team party where we celebrated a fabulous year!

On Memorial Day we got together at Mitch and Kelly's pool and BBQd with the fam. So fun to be together celebrating our country and those who came before us.

At the end of school, the volunteering never ends. Pierce had had it, but we pushed through field day at Columbia and got to accompany Parker's class through all of the fun.

Parker had a really great year with Mrs. Everton!

James also had a wonderful learning year with Mrs. Jensen!

We celebrated with lunch with dad at Zuppa's then parties, parties, and more parties...most of them originating or ending at our house, which we love.

The weekend after school let out, we headed to Idaho Falls for James' baseball tournament.

Being part of a team is so much fun!

I have so many great memories of baseball trips with my family growing up. These boys are so supportive...hopefully they look back with love one day too!

Restaurants love it when we ask if they have room for 40 :)

The boys played so well, getting beat in in the semi-final game after battling back. James had a fantastic tourney with great catching and awesome hits. My favorite part of the trip was watching these kids play soccer in the beautiful, open, riverwalk park on a gorgeous night!
