The winter was mild, especially for our Michigan blood, but we loved it when the sun came out. Pierce and I spent endless hours in the sun together...on walks, at the park, feeding ducks, chasing birds. I love every minute of being a mom to him.
Mike and I both became official Utah residents. I'm sure he never thought it would happen ;).
Between the 3 boys we played 7 sports! 7 sports! We spent endless hours at baseball, soccer and basketball games but had a blast watching these boys play their hearts out. They are all so fun and athletic and active. Such a blessing in this video game age. We had lots of dinners in the car ;).
James is turning 8 this year, which seems impossible! I am in charge of baptisms in our ward, so I was also in charge of "Great to be 8." It was such a sweet and fun night. My horribly un-crafty self was saved by a few good friends and the night turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself. So proud of our sweet little guy James. Can't wait for his baptism day!
One big bonus of living in Utah is that Mike was able to attend his first mission reunion. He loved reuniting with companions and Haitian locals. It is so much fun to see him in that element.
I have also been able to be in touch with lots of old friends. A date night with Jenny Martin and her husband, Ryan, was a highlight.
This little boy could line things up for hours...literally hours. I'm not sure he really plays with anything, he just lines them up. He certainly doesn't get this need for order from me.
Me and Piercey watching another game or practice in the sunshine. Some moms can't stand all the sports, but I love an excuse to be enjoying the outdoors and watching my little ones be active and develop their talents. I don't mind it one bit and Pierce asks everyday, "Do I get to go watch the boys' soccer game?" I guess he came to the right family!
