Christmas Eve was always an exciting night for me full of people, presents, and chaos so having it all alone just didn't seem right. We invited anyone sticking around Ann Arbor to meet us at the church for lasagna, bread, salad, dessert, the candy bar game, a Christmas story and the reading of Luke 2.
I'm so grateful that 6 families and our 2 missionaries could join us. Having everyone together made it feel like Christmas!
We started with a stop at the live nativity at a downtown church...
Played basketball, got out a few games and toys and ate delicious food...
Played the candy bar game...
Read from Luke 2...
With puppets!
Felt the Christmas spirit as a family...
Put on our new reindeer jammies, took out cookies and milk for Santa...
Went to bed, without protest at 8pm...
Set out our new slippers, and fell fast asleep so Santa could hurry, hurry down our chimney (or through our door)!

Okay, so what is the candybar game? Sounds like a great night! I really want to go see one of those live nativities on day in my life!
