Today was a really funny day

**Mike came home at 8:15 tonight...we're all kneeling down for prayers and he says to me, "Why is your shirt on inside-out? Did you spill or something?" No. I didn't spill. I didn't even know it was on inside out until he told me. I'd worn it all day. I don't have a new baby and I get plenty of sleep. I like clothes. For those of you who know me really well, it's still not a surprise at all that I could go a whole day with my shirt on inside out. Someone even told me how cute my shirt was...maybe it was meant to be reversible.

**James gets out of the car at Parker's soccer practice, heads to the playground and starts yelling one word at a time. When I catch up he says, "Mom. When I scream a word the earth yells back at me."

**Parker was saying the word "can't" this afternoon and James says, "Parker, can't is not a word. It's can not. Not can't." Parker was spiritedly arguing back. I had to tell James it actually is a contraction and it's okay to use it in every day speech and means the same as can not. James was appalled. Who is this kid?

**Parker says to me while we are reading a book, "I know what oogle means. It means to look really hard at something. And I know what pose means, but I don't want to do it because it is embarrassing."

**Parker hurt his leg this afternoon and while he was telling me about why he couldn't possibly make it to soccer practice he said, "And mom, when I run a lot at soccer practice, my mouth hurts." Really, that's the best you can do? As you can tell by funny #2, we went to practice and he was amazingly just fine.

**Jace was singing a song on the way to soccer in his opera voice. He says, "Sometimes it's hard for me to know which way to sing because Jesus gave me a girl voice and a boy voice."

**My friend sent me a link to this video on YouTube that was really funny. But when I was listening to it, it said "sex appeal," and my boys were around. James said, "Mom, that just said 'sex.' But it didn't say 'sexy' so you don't have to turn it off."

Wow! Your day was awesome. Especially loved the part about your shirt being on backwards all day. Guess you really can pull off anything. :)
