While the parents are away...

Oh boy will the grandparents let the boys play!! While Mike and I were driving across country, twice, the boys absolutely LOVED being spoiled by grandparents with non-stop fun. A huge thank you to the best babysitters ever. Here are a few of the highlights.
The Discovery Gateway Children's Museum

The Hogle Zoo

Bowling with the Slikker girls

Dinner with all the grandkids and great-grandkids at Grandma and Grandpa Olsen's. It so fun to see the next generation having a great time together.

Visiting graves on Memorial Day.
When Mike and I arrived home, James told me, "Grandpa said the flowers were his dead grandma. Isn't he weird?" I was cracking up. Then, a few days ago, we drove by a cemetary where the sprinklers were on and Parker said, "Mom, why are the sprinklers are? What if the dead people get water in their eyes?" Me: "Oh, honey, it doesn't matter. They are dead." Parker: "But, when they get resurrected, they don't want water in their eyes." Me: "They won't. They are in a box; it's called a coffin. Parker: "That's weird. If I get a disease and die when I'm a kid, I don't want to be put in a box."
Morbid conversation, but that's how his little mind works.

Boondocks
My kids love active entertainment, so Boondocks is just right. Mini-golf and go karts...nothing better!

I love this last picture of Jace! So cute! I miss the way your kids minds work. I miss hearing these stories sitting at the park. It's all starting to hit me again now that school starts on Monday! You aren't here to listen to my every whim and me to hear all the fun things your kids say and do!
