My Country Tis of Thee

I am so grateful to live in a free country. We are incredibly blessed and I try to teach my kids what an opportunity we have living here. We love celebrating the 4th of July...especially in Utah. On the morning of the 3rd, we headed up to the Brighton Pancake Breakfast and Parade. It was fun to have Gummy and Gumpy with us this year.

We did a little rock climbing before the parade.

The boys LOVE the parade because it's so short, simple and there is lots of candy to be taken!

We went on a BIG, hard hike to Mirror Lake. I was impressed with their stamina, even though they had plenty of complaining on the way.

Look how gorgeous and high this is.

Here's the pouting. The other little 2 were pretty good sports.

Parker was the best hiker of the bunch.

Later in the day the whole family went golfing.

Fireworks at Rockcreek. Perfect place to watch!!

Swimming at Grandmas!

Soda is a real treat.

A little tennis match.

A little ladder ball.

Ok seriously you have got to stop rubbing it in. You have long pants and a jacket on for the 4th of July! Also I love, love, love seeing your boys golfing! That is great! So glad Mike is back with you guys again in UT instead of being all by himself in TX!
