That's the way I used to spell San Diego when I was little. Over Memorial Day we went for a quick trip to see Mike's parents and Chris and Cassy and thier family. We had such a great time with everyone. It's so fun to see how much cousins love each other even when the live away. We barely even saw Jace and Chaz they were so busy chasing the chickens that now live with Mimi and Papa and Parker fell in love with Shaina and followed her everywhere. The only bummer was that James was sick so you couldn's see his darling personality.
On Saturday it was raining and a bit cold, so we headed to the new Children's museum in downtown San Diego. It was a blast. The kids love the clay, the bubbles and the race ramp. We stayed there all morning. In the afternoon we played, and I got to watch Shaina do ballet which was really fun. That night the adults had a delcious dinner at Roy's. It's so fun to have some adult time. I'm so lucky that I absolutely adore my in-laws. We have a blast together.
Sunday was church and a little time to relax with each other. We ate a yummy dinner and watched a movie.
Monday was spent playing at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. If you have a chance, you MUST go there. We played at the playground, roasted marshmellows on a fire pit and even tried to put our feet in the freezing water.
On our way out we ate delicious Gelato..mmmm... (everyone thinks I'm a much more relaxed mom with my third) then headed back to pack up, barbecue and swim before we made the drive home. The kids had a great time swimming n the hot tub and our bellies were full for the ride home.
What a fun quick weekend! We have to do it more often.

But have you ever eaten a Sandy Eggo? I'll make one for you sometime... sooo yummy (seriously). You must be on your super-long summer getaway from AZ... we'll have to catch up when you get back.
