February started out with a little Superbowl party. Love my mom for making it so fun and delicious!
Did a little very amateur modeling for Love Winnie James....
My mom got tickets to the Provo Temple Open House, and made a special trip out of it. First we went to the BYU art museum to see the Norman Rockwell exhibit...some kids were more interested than others :).
Ate a yummy dinner then spent hours at the hotel pool being extremely loud :).
Had a really cool spiritual moment that night where my mom told us about the Provo temple and the experience of rebuilding it.
Woke up bright and early for our 7am ticket time. It was such a beautiful place and a great and memorable experience!
We loved celebrating Mike for his birthday with 39 notes of love, treats to his work, and his dinner of choice plus cupcakes from Sweet Tooth Fairy. Apparently, I also gave him the gift of not having to smile for pictures since this is the only one I got. We LOVE him to pieces.
Pierce had a great Valentine's Day, full of sugar and love.
These boys got to reuse last year's hand me down Valentine boxes. Perfect!
Rick and Marci came to town for President's Day/Olivia's birthday/Jenni's birthday and we were lucky enough to spend some time together! The girls got pedicures while the boys when skiing.
We hosted a super fun Valentine's meal at our house!
Then Mimi introduced us to tons of great Valentine games that we had a blast playing together as a family and we introduced them to the hover board which kept us all giggling!
These lucky boys got free tickets to the Jazz game and loved every minute of it.
I cannot even express how grateful we all were to have Mimi watch the boy while we were in Kauai. She did a wonderful job, getting them everywhere they needed to be (which was insane BTW), and took the time to get to know them better, love them, help them, teach them (piano!!) and have fun with them. They boys had a wonderful time and when we quickly passed at the airport she was so sweet about loving her time with them for that week. We are so fortunate to have two sets of grandparents who love our boys so much!
For the Blue and Gold banquet this year, the theme was Star Wars and all the boys got these little costumes. James wanted to wear his to school the next day. I love him.
James has a lot of hard kids in his class this year in Primary, and this was a super sweet note his teacher gave him.
On one of the nicer winter days, we ventured to the Church History museum with our cute little cousins. They are wild and crazy, but we love them.
We have a teenager! It is insane, but Jace is now 13!! He had a blast celebrating with our usual...breakfast with dad, lunch from mom and a small hang out with some of his close buddies.
On his very birthday, grandma and grandpa came up to watch him play in his games, and they brought a gift he couldn't wait to open...Beats!! That lucky, lucky boy.
That night we had cupcakes (his choice) and he opened his family present...a new Xbox game!
The celebrations didn't stop...Zupa's for dinner (his favorite) and then The Pirate Queen play at Hale Center Theater. It was awesome. I love how much this boy loves music and the arts!!
As the snow started melting, we could't help but notice the gorgeous sunsets returning. We sure do love where we live!
