Welcome Home!

We arrived home to lots of cold and snow, but my kids were thrilled about it! They unpacked then headed directly outside to enjoy it all. Pierce was crazy about the white, fluffy stuff and they went sledding, built forts, and had snowball fights until it was dark outside.

Meanwhile, inside, Mike had thrown out his back and I was beyond worried. I had never seen him in so much pain. He was literally unable to move and it was frightening. We were all so worried for him. By the end of the weekend, things had improved a bit, but we could tell it was going to be a very long road.

The bad back was a serious challenge for him. He ended up working from home in a bed for at least a week, then on and off after that. He had regular chiropractic appointments and meetings with doctors. There was lots of fasting, prayer and priesthood blessings, and finally, it started to improve with consistency instead of a 2 steps forward one step back.

We learned how grateful we are for our very healthy bodies most of the time and I became especially grateful for all the little things Mike does around the house that make my life easier. Cheers to good heath!
