Baptism Week

We had the most wonderful week to celebrate Parker's baptism. It was such an exciting and happy moment for all of us and we feel so blessed to have parents who are always willing to come and support us...even in this horrible Michigan weather. Cold or not, we sure had a lot of fun.

Mimi and Papa

Mimi came on Tuesday before the baptism to get a few extra days in with us and to find us a piano. All 3 boys are doing really well but they have been practicing on our broken keyboard. When they played for Mimi on facetime, her sensitive ears could not handle the broken notes and banging keys, so she offered to find us a piano. We only had 2 1/2 days to find and buy a piano. We took every allotted second, but we found one, so it was worth it! Thanks so Mimi for all her hard work, research and follow through. It is a beautiful piano and definitely a gift that will keep on giving. The boys are already playing it all the time and love hearing the music they create. It sounds SO much better. We love it, so thank you so much!

Pierce with us at the beginning of our search. He was a trooper!
Learning how to care for our brand new piano. Yes, it is in the dining area. For some strange reason, that was the best place for it. You do what you have to do, right?

Papa arrived on Thursday night. The two of them with their thin California blood were dying...even inside our house :). The kids loved spending time with them while Mike and I had a church meeting. They played games together and had a great time filling in their quarter maps. It is so good to have family around!

Big Surprise!

We had been keeping a very big secret from my boys...EZRA was coming to the baptism too! It was so fun to have him here. He and Parker are the best little buddies. It wouldn't have been complete without him. Their reunion was awesome. When I asked Parker if there could have been anything cooler he said, "Yes, if their whole family came." We are so happy he could be with us.

Ezra came with my parents, who were also exciting guests. Pierce especially liked Grandpa, which just thrilled him since my mom usually gets most of the grand kid love.
