Easter 2012

We headed back up to Salt Lake for Easter weekend and we loved being with our family in perfect Easter weather. The day was just sunny and delightful, except that Mike was already home preparing for finals and Pierce was getting over what we now know was hand foot and mouth...AKA the most miserable disease a baby can get. I am so grateful for priesthood blessings that offer peace, comfort and healing. I've never seen little Piercy in so much pain.

The day was lots of fun with Easter baskets, church, an egg hunt, lots of family and vats of food that was so yummy I wish I had two stomachs! I had forgotten how great the food is when we get together :)! It was sad to say good bye to cousins and grandma and grandpa that night too, but we loved being able to be together. Easter is also a great day to take lots of pictures, so we did. Enjoy the overload!

Look at these cute, chubby cousins. They are going to be best buddies!

Darling family, right? We loved being able to see everyone one more time. Maddy is so big now!

They all loved the egg hunt because the eggs were really hidden, plus the spoils were pretty great too.

Like I said, the perfect sunny day!

These boys love each other so much.

Grandma is the greatest. The boys can't get enough!!

The boys also had a great time with Grandpa all day long on Saturday. He took all the boys over 3 to the zoo for 6 hours! They loved it. James cultivated a special bond with grandpa this time and told him over and over, "Grandpa, you are my best friend." So sweet.

You look amazing Brooke!!! I can't believe how chubby pierce is. He has taken all the baby weight right off you and kept it for himself.

I'm sorry Pierce had hand, foot, and mouth disease. Poor little guy, that's no fun. Looks like you had a great Easter though! Glad you were able to spend it with your family. By the way, LOVED your Sunday outfit!

How fabulous that you guys got to head out to Salt Lake and the greatest time of year! Bracken had hand foot and mouth when he was a baby, and I've never had a baby so sick since! Luckily so many other happy events going on and lots of helpers for your little guy!! What a great hubby to stay back, man the fort and study hard. Where is your next destination?

You guys all look so great! My two oldest had hand, foot and mouth and it was miserable! You poor girl! So fun that you guys can still keep up the traditions and get back to UT for fun family time. Are you going this summer? We'll be there the last half of July.
