There is still a lot of fun going on here!
Lots of golf being played by children of all ages, plus one on one golf dates with Grandpa that have been a real highlight around here.
A super fun carnival birthday party for my cousin's kiddos, twins, Mia and Henry. They only turned one, so I'm pretty sure our big kids enjoyed the party more than they did. Thanks Mindi for a really great evening...you are super fun and creative...those kids are lucky to have you.
The kids were lucky enough to attend TWO Young Chef's Academy cooking classes. If you are in Utah, these were fantastic fun for kids of all ages. The first class was all about chocolate and you'd think they'd all died and gone to heaven (with a tummy ache). The second class was pizza making, which was great because it served them lunch too! The staff was awesome and patient, even with all our wild boys. Highly recommended!
The boys have loved taking swimming lessons and I've seen major improvements from them all this year. I'm enjoying my only summer of not HAVING to get in the pool, they've all gotten so good!
I've always taken the beauty of where I grew up for granted. We have always lived with the mountains right at our back windows and hikes in the gorgeous canyons only 10 minutes away. I guess sometimes you have to leave to realize what you had. Utah, especially where my parents live, is just a phenomenally gorgeous place. We completely enjoyed breakfast in the canyons plus little hikes, rock climbing and a dance party a few Fridays ago. Thanks for letting us crash the party Kathi!
And a very, merry un-birthday to my mom! We were all here and had a great present to give her, so we decided to give her a surprise, adults-only birthday. Dinner at Em's was delicious as always and she loved her gift!
This month has been a whirlwind, but oh, so fun. Still more to come...if you can believe it :)!
