Mike's work had a formal Christmas party this year. It's so fun to get dressed up, especially when you find an awesome dress for $29.99 and earrings for $6.00--am I bargain or what? I had the idea that I'd spend a few hours pampering myself and getting ready for the night, but who was I kidding? I got ready in 40 minutes, straight hair, Wet n' Wild make-up and all, but I felt like a million bucks with my hot man by my side.
His company put on a great party--first we mingled, ate delicious food, watched a picture slideshow, played a few fun games and danced and danced and danced. Mike and I tore the floor up with our own rendition of "Tootsie Roll," then right after I had a weird allergic reaction and say a quick good-bye before I blew up like an oompah-loompah. 4 Benadryl later, I felt better but passed out on the couch in my formal and red high heels. Poor Mike.
On another note Mike and I got Christmas ugly for our friend's "Yankee Swap." Everyone loved our outfits so much, they want to borrow them next year but we are hanging on tight. Mike looked sick (and not the good sick) in his vest and turtleneck. Throughout the night I kept thinking how grateful I am that my man has style. The scary thing was, he was much too comfortable in that hideous outfit. Almost like he found the skin that fits him just right. I'd better put that turtleneck back in the "Ski stuff" box in our garage that never gets opened.

Whoa, you guys are stylin! Cutest christmas card by the way. I will never know how you get all those boys to sit still, look at the camera, and smile all at the same time. Did you notice how ours is of the boys separately? It's because of that very reason! Hope you guys have a great christmas!
Ohhh those pictures are hilarious. Where the heck did you get those lovely Christmas vests? You look very beautiful in those first pictures though!!!
You look like my Mom in that very festive holiday vest! Yikes! You both looked very nice in the other pics though and I am sorry that your evening got ruined by allergies!

You guys are one HOT couple. I am having a hard time deciding what outfit I like the two of you better in!! Hot, hot HOT!!
I would love to see that dance you do. I bet you guys 'cut the rug' like no one else!
You guys are too cute. You look amazing in that beautiful black dress. So classy! And who doesn't love an ugly sweater (or vest : ) party? Merry Christmas!
I can't remember if I told you already, but it's so true it's worth saying again that I LOVE your bangs! You look so great! And you look so much more like Katie to me with them!
Don't you love when you find a good black dress for a good deal? My friend and I did last year before a big law school dance, but we liked the same dress, so we both bought it (it was only $20!) and then she wore it to the dance, and I bought another dress for the dance so we weren't twinners, but I couldn't pass up that dress! (Wow, what a run-on).
Hello hot mama. Mike is a good looking guy, but who cares about him when there is someone much more interesting and gorgeous to look at standing right next to him! You both even look fabulous in the ugly clothes. Those vests would have fit in perfectly at my family's ugly sweater christmas eve dinner last year! By the way, what the heck is a Yankee Party? That sounds more like an Idaho thing!
I love the black dress- very cute! The sweaters are funny! What a fun idea.
I NEED a vest like that in my wardrobe. Some of the ladies I work with have similar holiday attire, and I need to fit in around here.
I'm glad you all had a very Merry Christmas...even without the snow. It's snowing all week over here, and I don't think you're missing out at all!
