January Moments

January was, well...January. Not much excitement going on, but plenty of regular life which is always exciting to us. A few moments worth mentioning were...

Caught Mike in this moment with Pierce. He has gone soft with this last little one, and watching their loving relationship is so sweet.

The boys (Mike included) were thrilled when Grandpa called with awesome tickets and all you can eat food for the Jazz game against the Thunder. Major Utah perk :).

Jace was in the school Geography Bee. I was so proud of how much he studied and how quickly his brain held on to the information. He ended up taking 4th in the school, but he knew a lot of the questions others missed. Pretty cool.

Jace got to see one of his heroes, Mallory from Studio C! She is the niece of Jace's 5th grade teacher and she came to talk with the students. She was super cool with lots of great advice. He even ended up with a signed picture of Studio C...a total highlight for him!

We tried potty training. Pierce was so awesome for a bit and had no trouble peeing in the potty, but he just couldn't get the poop thing down. After way too many poopy pairs of underwear we quit and will try again later. He sure looked cute though ;).

Parker's classroom had elections for the pretend city and Parker won!! He is new this year, but he is just such a nice and kind kid. He was thrilled!

Jace participated in the science fair where he grew salt crystals in different climates. It was a lot of work but rewarding too!

These two little monsters spent some time with Grandma.

We set up a tent and did a few million other things in order to help Jace get his Arrow of Light! So proud of him and so grateful for Mike and his willingness to ensure the boys get through scouting. He is an amazing guy!

We tried celebrating Katie's birthday downtown...kind of a fail because our kids are complete monsters and we have way too many of them :), but still fun to spend the day with my only sister. Love her so much and don't know what I would do without her!

Mike and I spent a super fun night cheering on our Cougs! My Gumpy has awesome tickets and we loved putting them to use. It had been so long since I had been to the Marriott Center I felt all kinds of nostalgic.

With January comes basketball, and I should have a billion pictures of my kids playing, but I don't. Suffice it to say that they are all doing really well and we love spending Saturdays at ball games!
