Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

We had the most wonderful Christmas Eve! With everything basically prepared and ready to go, we took advantage of spending time together sledding at the middle school. It was such a blast for the whole fam. I took some great, crazy videos of everyone going over jumps. A great, new tradition!

On Christmas Eve we went to Gummy and Gumpy's for the celebration from my childhood...tons of people (75 seated for dinner!!!), a delicious dinner spread, a short program and fun gifts to open. It is such a treat to be able to have my kids be a part of the way I grew up. We loved spending time with cousins, friends, and family. So grateful that Gummy and Gumpy are still able to open up their home and their hearts to us all.

After time at Gummy and Gumpy's we went to my parent's house for our Christmas Eve celebration. They are always so generous and we were so grateful for their awesome gifts! The boys are so happy to have a trampoline and we loved our couch! It was such fun watching the cousins open their presents to each other too. We are much too spoiled, but so thankful for their generosity!

We gave my parents a family book from 2008. It is never a surprise, but they love it anyway!

Christmas morning is my favorite time of year to be a parent! Watching their surprise and excitement is just the most magical and amazing thing...but even better is watching how grateful and pleased they are with every little thing, and they are so happy for each other too. They are such good boys and it is a joy to be their mom! Having a 2 year old who was absolutely in love with every little thing made it an even sweeter day. I just LOVE Christmas!

Pierce slept in a bit, and the boys could NOT wait for him to wake up!!

They loved sleeping with their snuggly blankets that grandma and grandpa gave them the night before. Great gift!

Pierce had no idea what awaited him!!

All so thrilled!! The mini-motorcycle was a huge hit!

He loved his cars, cars and more cars.

 Thrilled with the Nerf guns!

Loved that this little guy wanted to open everything!!

The kids loved their final surprise...an electric train from Gummy and Gumpy! We are so excited for it to be part of our Christmas tradition!

The rest of the day was just perfect! We stayed in our jammies all day, ate breakfast together, set up and played with all the new toys and wii games, had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa, read some new books, and got packed for our San Diego trip. It was relaxing and wonderful and the whole day was full of love, just like Christmas should be.
