Halloween

This year Halloween was crazy, just like always :). Mike and I were part of the Ward Halloween Chili Cook Off and Party and it was a fun way to get to know people in our ward. We really lucked out and ended up in a ward and neighborhood that loves to party :), just our style. The night was a big hit and the kids and adults loved every minute of it.
As always, my boys were not big fans of dressing up, which is why I have never really gotten into the holiday. We had other costume plans but everyone basically ended up in regular clothes...surprise, surprise.

Before the ward Halloween Party...(Parker was at a soccer game in Ogden. Thank heavens for close grandparents!)

At the Halloween party we were in charge of games. I should have taken WAY more pictures! They turned out so awesome. We played ring the witch's hat, Knock over the ghosts (toilet paper rolls), fishing pond, cake walk, Halloween bingo, and pin the nose on the pumpkin. They were all in different classrooms to help cut down on the chaos. To keep the adults engaged, we had a serious corn hole tournament going set up March Madness bracket style. It was a huge hit.

When the song, "What does the Fox say?" started playing, someone cranked it up and we had a whole stage full of kids dancing. It really was an awesome party!

This little man was SO excited to head out trick or treating!! He loved saying, "Trick or Treat" and people loved giving him candy. Jace headed out on his own with a new friend for the first time. They came back pretty early...Maybe a bit nervous. Parker caught up with a group of buddies and their parents from our ward, and James, Pierce and Mike went a little more slowly and stayed close to home. Such a fun night!

My only picture of Parker...he was a ninja and James decided he was just going to be a soccer player...boring Halloween kids :)
