Welcome Christmas!
Christmas is in full swing around here! For us, it's definitely the most wonderful time of the year!
We started the season off with our Christmas Chain. We have loved this tradition for the past few years. We change it just a bit depending on the year and it helps us keep the spirit of Christmas all season long with one activity each day ranging from fun, to giving, to spiritual.
A few activities I've taken pictures of:
Christmas Craft (at my friend's house while Mike and I attended a party, thanks Stacey!)
Outdoor Marshmallow Snowball Fight. An absolute blast, with only a few tears. We played it like dodgeball with the kids getting hit then crossing to the other side and going after the remaining members. Perfect for my boys and we invited our neighborhood friends too. The dad's got in on the fun and the only downside was the dirty coats after the fight! We finished up with hot chocolate and more marshmallows. Highly recommended in any climate!
Christmas Carol Dance Party...who knew my boys would love this one so much? Our whole family, Pierce included, had a blast dancing away to the music. One of those giggly, fun moments you don't want to forget. We liked it so much, one night while dad was gone, we made up a dance to Mariah Carey's "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." I was impressed that my boys thought it was fun and caught on to the steps! Who knew?
Candy Cane Hot Chocolate...who wouldn't love this one? Cheap and easy!
Letters to Santa...I loved reading their wish lists
So, Pierce didn't write a letter, but we had to get a photo of him...he's our favorite present this year!
Decking the Halls...nothing fancy but we love turning our house into our own Christmas headquarters!

Love the letters! So sweet.
I am so excited in the next few years when my kids learn how to write. I love Christmas wish lists (and the strained cursive writing!). Pierce's chubby cheeks are so squeezable. Is anything better?
