The world was white and wonderful
No School
Snow forts, snow fights
Icicles
Friends within walking distance
Kids old enough to play in the snow without their mom
Heat that is included in our rent
Dad home early for serious snow play
A nice crop of library books to read (by the time I got my camera out, James was in jammies reading with me, though he usually is a die hard snow player)
Chicken noodle soup
Amazing snowplows that cleared the streets
And today....blue skies, sun, 24 degrees and school was back on. My kind of blizzard.

I think my favorite part of the blizzard was that it didn't really happen...but we still got all the perks of a much more serious snowfall! :) Glad your family had fun, and hooray for all this sunshine today, it's been a great blessing!
Ahh I've been soaking up the sun ALL day! Love the pictures with Mike wrestling with the boys.
Ditto to everything you said! We LOVED it too! Too bad we just couldn't make it 44 and sunny today instead of 24! But I will take it!
Heat included in the rent?? Now they just need to include all you can drink hot cocoa and you guys are set for any blizzard! Your boys are at the funnest ages....so fun to see them happy and enjoying life to its fullest!!!
As much as living up north is freezing, snow storms really are handled well. i love that they can handle them. here in va, we had 3 snow days last week ... and only 3 inches of snow. so there was a little bit of snow play, but it really wasn't enough to make it super fun. but it was fun to have my girl home with me for those days! i love the feeling of being forced to stay home and just hang out with each other. it's the best part.
