What can you do with a pair of kid craft scissors?
You can cut off your darling faux-hawk, all the way to the scalp in a perfect circle near the center of your head, right before your primary program and right before all your extended family comes to visit. Then...

You can scream bloody murder when your mom tells you that you are in big trouble and she will have to shave all your hair off and you will be bald. Then...
You can compose yourself for your traumatic haircut because you know your mom is so mad acting out will only make things worse. Then...
You can take a shower to wash all the hair off your body and give mom a moment to breathe. She can wrap you up and snuggle your bald head and you can tell her you are so tired and fall right asleep in her arms for the first time in at least a year and she can feel a little sorry for being so angry about hair and feel a lot grateful for your love and spunk. Then...
You can wake up with a smile, looking like the cartoon version of Avatar and rub your head every chance you get. Then...
Mom can be glad you are a boy and cute with or without hair...Cheers to being 4!

HAHA! Oh dear! What a cute story. Probably not so fun for you though!
Oh! I've got tears I'm laughing soo hard. In your place it's not funny now but later it will be. Carlie did this last year to her hair...and I cried like a baby when we went to chop it off. Good thing you have boys--the recovery is much easier!
He is still cute as can be!!!
The only time mine did that was when I had pulled all the stuff out to give him a haircut. I was looking for an extension cord. He grabbed the scissors and started... It ended up being a little shorter than i had anticipated. :)
Ezra did that to Aubree a few days before Christmas one year! I could have died! Poor mom! The good part is, this is something that can be laughed about after the anger and the tears :)
It sure makes his eyes pop!
Avatar I love it... :)
Is it terrible that I am busting up right now? I guess it is only this funny when it's not your kid, right? Luckily he is so darn cute it doesn't matter what his haircut is like!!
Haha!!! Oh gotta love 4 year old boys-still cute as ever! Austin still has horrible hair from cutting a chunk from the front of his hairline on the second day of school-minutes before leaving. I should have shaved his head!
Now that looks like my "Grandpa James"!! (my pet name for James)

You've now convinced me that Avatars can be cute. It seems like boys' hair grows fast anyway...
Thank you so much for the warning. Capri is capable of much destruction! That was a major laugh out loud post for me. Thanks for the cheer up! Love it.
Oh my- that is one of my biggest fears! I JUST barely let Addie open a pair of the blunt tip, kid scissors- until today, she's only had the plastic ones! Thank goodness it was a boy for sure! He looks cute even without hair!
I love this! He will be so glad you documented the whole saga so well. Let's bet he won't do it again. Thank goodness he's a BOY? Can you imagine? What would you do with a girl with hair that short?
OH! Can you send me your new address? Address list for cards sometime in the future...trying hard to be organized at the moment.
WOW! I love your positive spin on life. Definitely a quality I admire. Along with your writing of course!
I guess we both have "spunky" #3s! :)
Ohhhhh no! But you're right- he's adorable with or without hair!!!
