Payoff!

Being a mom is truly a gift. I love it. With my boys at these ages, nothing is more fun than watching them learn, grow and love. Each day is full of new delights and I'm in constant awe of the way they see the world, people and each other. I try to be more like them and mold them into the person I wish I already was.

I was spoiled on Mother's Day (not to mention the 2 trips I went on the week before--posts to come). The boys woke me up with roses and breakfast in bed, small gifts, and a candy bar poster they were oh, so proud of and ready to eat by 7:15 am. Mike got the boys ready for church and everyone was so good to me all day long. Jace kept telling me to "go rest!" It was just nice to be back with my family. We really enjoy each other. (Parker was not up for a picture here, obviously.)
Here is a little note that Jace wrote to me. Is this just the cutest? Mike and I cracked up about it!
And here is Parker's card. Love that boy!

I am so grateful for the many, many mothers, grandmothers and great friends in my life. They have truly made me the woman I am today and are the people I aspire to be more like. I'm so grateful that this day has been set aside for me to reflect on how blessed I've been to have women like this guiding my life. Happy Mother's Day!

Does that say you yell like and angel? lol. I didn't know that was possible but I guess it's a compliment! Very cute!

I loved this Brooke! I LOVED the poem too! Thanks for posting it. I wish I could have seen how funny you were when you picked up a snail =). You must have a great preschool teacher. I am really going to miss you -- but am thrilled for your new adventure ahead. I'm so glad to have learned to know you. I'm glad we live in the time that we can blog and keep in touch so effortlessly!

You are a great mom! I've learned so much from you! I love the great things kids say - I think you sing like a bird too. Last year Liz said that I was as pretty as unicorn. Thanks...I think.

I am still laughing at Jace writing that you yell like an angel. That is a talent, my dear! It was SO great catching up with you. Good luck with the packing over the next few weeks. Glad we'll get to see you one more time before you take off!

Brooke, this is an incredible blog...but partly because of the incredible people in it. I loved EVERY picture and description! You have a real gift for sharing. I especially loved the mother-day notes from your boys. TOO cute and precious...and what a Romney girl's weekend. I'm jealous!
Love you all,
