We Are Moving To....

Ann Arbor, Michigan!!!!
Mike is headed back to grad school at the University of Michigan. This deserves a much longer post, and I'll get to the details, but wanted to let you all know. We are SO excited and feel the Lord has opened a path for us we never thought we would take. We drive away May 29th since we sold our house and that's when they want to move in. I like to use the avoidance technique so I don't feel sad about leaving the only place that really feels like home to us and our incredible friends that truly deserve the title of "family." I fell teary, so I'm stopping now. Look forward to lots of, "Our last time in Arizona posts..." for the rest of the month, or maybe hardly any blogging at all since I should be packing and cleaning...boo!

Yeah!! John told me the good news a couple weeks ago. Sooo proud of Mike, and all his wonderful offers of great schools. I know this move is going to be difficult for you with all your wonderful friends, but take it from someone who moves far too many times....there are soooo many amazing people you are soon to meet. We are lucky to have the church that gives us immediate friendships! We can't wait to hear all about the move!

Wow!!! That is exciting! What an adventure. Will you be in Utah anytime before you move out there? We will be in Utah in early June and would LOVE to see you guys. Best of luck with the moving process! Michigan is so lucky to have you guys.

Why couldn't you have moved last year?!?! Nuts. Ann Arbor is like 45 minutes away from me...and you're going to love it! The U. of Michigan is a fun campus too. Good luck the long trek East to move.

Yea! How fun! I know lots of people who grew up in Michigan so I'll ask them for tips if they know anything about that particular area. You better get some sweaters!!!

HOLY cow! I know it's hard, but I'm kind of jealous. When Ryan was out of a job last year, we looked into East Coast graduate schools and it just wasn't what we were supposed to do. (He actually DOES attend an East Coast school--University of Massachusetts--but only on the internet). How fun to get to live back there again! Good luck with the moving and the goodbyes--I'll love reading about your adventures!

BROOKE! Congrats to you and Mike. What an exciting adventure. Don't know if you've lived here before, but the mid-west is absolutely fantastic. I have already shed a few tears just thinking about leaving Minnesota. Change seems to be bitter sweet... Your cute personality will win you lots of friends quickly! Happy packing!

Packing is over-rated. You should definitely be blogging and enjoying your time there.

Good luck with the move- I'm sure it will be quite the adventure but hopefully a good one. Hopefully you guys don't freeze on us!

Sad you'll be moving even further away since it probably means we'll see even less of you here! Love you guys!

I think you will love it in Michigan - I have been to Ann Arbor a couple of times and enjoyed each trip. I am sure Jen will not like you being so far away.

WOW! Congrats! Phil told me a big move was coming - but I don't think he knew where when he talked to Mike. That's so exciting for you guys! I absolutely LOVE Ann Arbor. One of my good friends is from there and we've spent many a Thanksgiving/ long weekend there with her amazing family. You guys will love it. Except maybe during the winter now that you've been spoiled! Seriously excited for you guys and his new adventure! We'll have to chat because we have some big changes coming our way this summer too!
