It was a bummer when we decided not to move, we wanted more space, but mostly I was so excited to redecorate. When we decided to stay, Mike said, "Make it look like the house you wanted," so I got started. I finished the downstairs (entry, family, kitchen, and half bath)
I've learned a lot from watching Lyric and Kelli decorate and I finally figured out what my style was. It look a lot of work, but it was so fun and we are so happy with the result. Wish I had a before picture. Thanks to all my AZ friends for lots of trips over to tell me if things worked and thanks to Lyric for the phone consults.
Excuse the million pictures. My mom, Katie, Lyric and Jen would kill me if there wasn't enough detail, and I wish the colors were as crisp and bright, but you know nothing ever looks as good in a picture as in real life. My friend Sally has a better camera, so if she can do better on color, I'll post again. Jen, if you need more detail, just let me know. The one picture of the olive branch shoud be vertical, blogger is being impossible and I didn't want to risk losing all the other downloads.

First of all, your house looks fantastic. Looks great in the pictures, and even better in person! You have great taste. I'm in the middle of doing some stuff to our house... I need you to come over and give me some pointers!! Also, where did you get the plant next to your couch? I'm looking for something exactly like that. Great job Brooke!

So fun to see your house. I never saw it before but it looks great. We should all post pictures of our houses...you really get a glimpse into a person and I love your's. It suites you so well! Way to find what you like...that is much harder to do than it sounds. I go through major drama over every little thing myself.

I love it all! I love the yellow wall color -- it and the green matting you have on the boys' pictures are seriously the exact colors of our walls on our main floor! So yes, I of course like your taste! How fun to be able to redecorate, but not have to go through the pain of moving. I love all your pictures and I love that part of the stack of books under the lamp is children's books!
Your house looks so awesome. I wish that we could be there and see it in real life. I love the bathroom you did a pretty good job for painting on your own.
