It feels silly writing that on January 9th. Christmas seems so long ago. We had a fantastic Christmas morning. It was the first year I actually felt like the mom instead of a spectator. There truly is nothing like seeing your kids' faces as they see everything that was given to them.
James loved opening all the gifts. Jace and Parks both got a Ninja turtle, a pirate ship, and a real digital camera, plus all the little books and stocking stuffers. James got balls and a little piano, but the real hit was what my parents got them--a HUGE JEEP (as they like to say). Both Mike an I cuncurred that we always wanted one when we were little but wouldn't buy them for our kids, so the grandparents stepped in and it has brought millions of hours of fun and lots of pretend games.
The other really fun present? The box the Jeep came in, of course.
After presents and monkey bread we cleaned up, packed and headed to San Diego where we spent the rest of the holiday. MANY more posts to come.

Love the Christmas jammies! Looks like a good Christmas. I always wanted one of those big cars/jeeps when I was younger too! Can't wait to see the pics/posts from San Diego!
What a fun Christmas morning. I agree with you, it is so fun being the parent and seeing the excitement on our kids faces. That is Christmas for us!!
You look just like a little girl sitting there amongst your boys! What a cute mommy! And I am all for the huge jeep. You will get many years use out of it and thank your parents every chance you get!

Did you say monkey bread? We'll be right over. I'll eat some bread, Max will take over the jeep and Steve can try on Parker's headband!
