Spring Break! St. George 2014

Our family loves St. George so much! It is such a perfect spot for us because we can be active, enjoy nature and take a little time to relax. Spring break was so much fun this year and we enjoyed every second of our stay.

We hiked every day. My boys all LOVE it. Pierce asked every day if we could go hiking and as we drove away he said, "NO! I want to go hiking!" He is a trooper.

Here we are at marble mountain

We had such a great time getting together with our friends from Michigan, the Nobis family! One of the things I have loved about living so many places is all the awesome connections we have made. So awesome to watch the Michigan game together!

Our favorite hike of the week was the Butterfly Train in Snow Canyon. The scenery was beautiful and it offered lots of different formations to see and climb on and you end up on top of the world. Pretty awesome. I love how brave my boys are. It amazes me all of the time!

This doesn't look that dangerous, but it was super high...they scaled all the way up.

Loved being there with Grandma and Grandpa and love how adventurous they are too. We are so lucky to have such "young" grandparents.
My parents put a basketball hoop on the side of the pool and it is a huge hit with young and old. We really are so grateful they have a place like this we can all go and enjoy together.

On Sunday we decided to hike Chuckwalla in the early evening. It was a beautiful night and just perfect for a family hike and some extra exploring. The boys freaked me out by being way too dangerous this time (especially Mike with little Pierce) but in the end we all made it :).
I love this picture

Our little hiker. He was so awesome.

The desert was so green and beautiful this time!

This area is a tortoise reserve, but no one ever sees them. We spotted on in the side of the mountain!! Too cool.

These boys are always playing some crazy imagination game. Here they were soldiers. I love it.

This picture does not do the sunset justice. It was breathtaking.

Took a minute to stop and look at the cows on our way home.
On Monday we had a couple friends over to swim and BBQ before we headed back. Such a fun end to a great week.
